Avon Impulse Cowgirls Up with Debut Novel from Lizbeth Selvig

For Avon, 2012 has started off as the year of the cowboy. The publisher has embraced readers' love for cowboy heroes with New York Times bestseller Lori Wilde's THE COWBOY TAKES A BRIDE and Emma Cane's ranch-set debut contemporary A TOWN CALLED VALENTINE. But newcomer Lizbeth Selvig puts a spin on the popular trend with her first Avon Impulse e-original THE RANCHER AND THE ROCK STAR, which stars a strong, determined cowgirl.

In THE RANCHER AND THE ROCK STAR, Abby Stadtler is the eponymous rancher. After a devastating tragedy, she has worked hard to build a quiet life for herself and her teenage daughter. Neat and orderly is the name of the game for her and her beloved farm. But when rock superstar Gray Covey shows up on her doorstep to find his runaway son, her perfectly ordered life is turned upside down.

Gray has legions of fans who love him, but to his son, he's simply the father who never has any time for him. To prove that he's more than his rock star lifestyle, for the next few weeks Gray must put aside his fame and become...a farmhand?

Neither Gray nor Abby count on the love that springs up between them. Abby knows that life on a ranch in Minnesota can never compete with an exciting world tour, but for Gray, it's time to decide what's really important. With Abby's help, he must decide once and for if love and family can give him peace.

Wilde is already a fan of Selvig's debut and calls it in her blog, "the cutest cowboy ebook with a fun twist."

THE RANCHER AND THE ROCK STAR is on sale now for $3.99 from Avon Impulse wherever e-books are sold.
